What we have passed

South Asia Institute of Theology began training rural pastors and church planters in 1989.A couple of like-minded Christian leaders joined with Dr. Thevabalasingham and began the first training course with 20 students at the every Home for Christ premises in Colombo.

In the following year the school was moved to the present campus at Norton Bridge, 120 Km from Colombo. Formerly known as rural pastors Training School, SAIT is managed by an indigenous incorporated mission organization (HOMSA). In less than 15 years SAIT has become one of the foremost training institutions, helping rural pastors, while in service, to obtain theological Education.
